Well over a dozen types of fresh or dried beans, depending on the time of year, they are literally life-changing. Amoon is always my first stop at Union Square market--Ahmed's selection is tailored to what his land has the capacity of giving, and each and every bean, fruit (the best razz and strawberries!), vegetable, herb and flower is in it's finest form. I shop with him initially, because of the quality and because his small but mighty stall provides me with parameters for what I create and cook each week.
